Betweeen Past and Future

Milano AutoClassica, the elegant international trade fair for vintage car buffs, returns to Fiera Milano. The event, scheduled from 23 to 25 November next, will also host a sports car auction

The countdown has begun for the eighth edition of Milano AutoClassica – Classic Car Show, scheduled to take place at Fiera Milano (Rho) on 23, 24 and 25 November 2018. A great meeting point for lovers of legendary cars, this glamorous event, which mobilises Italian and international exhibitors and visitors passionate about vintage and modern models, is not to be missed. Milano AutoClassica again, this year, offers attendees a carefully curated selection of classic sports cars, in line with the classy exclusivity that has always set them apart. The ranges on show will cover models from the 1920s to the 1990s, with a strong contingent from the 1960s and 1970s.

Saturday 24 November, an extraordinary event for enthusiasts of the sector: the “Milano-RACING & SPORT CARS” auction by the CAMBI auction house, first in Italy for turnover in 2017. A very special selection for the uniqueness of the vintage and collector cars, many of which belong to the Scuderia Giudici of well-known driver and team manager Gianni Giudici. Throughout his long sporting career, he has driven different kinds of cars (Rally, Dtm, Indycar, Prototypes GranTurismo, etc) taking part in prestigious competitions like LeMans, Daytona, Nürburgring, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza and others. The auction, which will attract enthusiasts and onlookers from all over Europe, will include 45 sports and racing cars, the latter will represent 85% of the cars for sale. These include two magnificent one-off racing cars, part of the contemporary history of Maserati, a GranSport GT3 “Laboratorio” and a GranSport “Trofeo” with specifications for endurance races. In 2006, these two Trident cars participated in the Nürburgring 24hr race, manned by the official “Maserati R&D Factory Team” and for this reason they deserve the due attention of collectors and historians.

Another new feature of this edition is the presence of Retro Classics Stuttgart; besides being one of the best-known European events in the international vintage car scenario, it is the world’s largest fair in terms of quantity of exhibitors and surface occupied. Retro Classics Stuttgart has chosen Milano AutoClassica to meet its most important German exhibitors and collectors, fitting out a large exhibition area where a new selection of cars from Germany will be put on show.

The exhibition itinerary of Milano AutoClassica aims to enhance the historic memory of the car brands present with the heritage of their most representative models alongside the latest proposals, bringing together in one place an ever-growing number of collectors and motor enthusiasts, as well as users looking to replace their current car with the latest model. The happy contamination between past, present and future attracts car connoisseurs of every age and time, who share the same passion.

A selected group of traders will be present at the event with a rich parterre of vintage cars where each visitor can identify their perfect opportunity, including those who are approaching classic vehicles for the first time. The choice ranges between models and deals for every taste and pocket, with prices starting from 5,000 Euro. The exhibition, dedicated to spare parts with 180 selected companies present, returns in pavilion 22.

The most prestigious brands which will showcase their models on a surface of 50,000 m2 include Bentley, BMW Club Italia, Ferrari Classiche, Lotus, McLaren, Musei Ferrari, Pagani and Porsche Classic.

Venue for different meetings (conferences, seminars and presentations of books on the sector), the Meeting Area in partnership with ACI Storico offers a rich calendar of entertainment in the hospitality area set up in the heart of Milano AutoClassica. Andrea Farina and his “Why buy it Classic” format will provide an interesting daily appointment. This is along the same lines of the successful programme of Italia, a buying guide dedicated to vintage car enthusiasts and young timers. This area of Milano AutoClassica will also be the setting for passionate debates thanks to the offer of dream vintage cars to drive into your garage.
